Jesse Jackson's comments about Barack Obama has ignited a debate over Black-Male accountability. The reality is that both Obama and Jackson are right in their argument. For example, Obama is right that black males and blacks as well as American need to be more responsible and accountable for our actions to our youth and children, our communities and our country. However what Jackson is arguing is that where is the accountability and responsibility from our government.
Just about every city and state can look around them and find at least one politician that is not doing right by the people or a government program that is leaking in its needs to address the needs of the people. Corruption in government and the mismanagement of funds has led to many social program budgets being cut or at worse the lost of the social programs. So currently the debate over Black-Male accountability is a debate that both Jackson and Obama are trying to have but the reality is that both of them need to understand that both of their arguments right.
The government is to blame for the state of Black males and the black community but we as blacks are to blame for it as well. Bill Cosby made the exact same comments that Barack has said but Bill went a step further and said that both blacks and the government have a responsibility to our youth. However we as blacks have to stop depending on others to do for us when we don't do for ourselves. Clearly Jessee didn't hear Bill's argument and neither did Obama because if they did, they would have found ways to have this discussion about moral responsibility for citizens and the government 5 years ago.
So the issue of moral responsibility is not just a black program but it is an American program America needs moral responsibility and moral ethics because clearly our citizens are slowly but surely losing it and our politicians are more and more pulling the old okey-doke on us. Pointing us toward one thing and while we are looking that way, they are ripping us off in the direction that we are not looking it. Moral responsibility first needs to be re-established in both government and everyday citizens lives at the same point before any politician decides to criticize the daily homes and lives of any community. Secondly moral ethics and moral responsibility need to be thought in schools and laws need to be heavily enforced on those who break the moral ethics and responsibility code in politics.
Our Federal government needs to be locking up these corrupt governments more in order to deter these types of political dealings by any means necessary. That's why Jackson and Obama are both right and they need to know that they need to work together to accomplish their arguments. The Dream of King and JFK can only be accomplished by us working together. Their can be no moral responsibility and moral ethics in the black community or any community until their is moral responsibility and moral ethics on all government levels.
