Senator losing support in Idaho, Washington

Sen. Larry Craig, who was arrested for allegedly soliciting sex in a public restroom, is losing support among conservatives in his home state of Idaho, and the White House also is expressing disappointment with his actions.
Clearly the evidence and the fact that he pleaded guilty to the allegations are what really disturbs many in this case. Now if Idaho Senator Larry Craig had just been arrested for allegedly soliciting sex in a public restroom than many would have probably came to his defense. However Senator Craig pleaded guilty to the charges and that is what really baffles many regarding this situation.
In fact Senator Craig, during his press conference didn't really explain to the American people why he pleaded guilty besides saying that he felt pressured by a local Idaho newspaper who had been investigating him and his family affairs for months and months. Also Senator Craig said he made a mistake by pleading guilty but didn't elaborate as to why he pleaded guilty in this case. So simply put, this case is funny and Senator Craig is even funnier for not admitting his own faults and taking responsibility for his own actions.
So while many Republicans are saying Senator Craig needs to go and while others want to see an investigation take place regarding his behavior, the fact remains that he is still a United States Senator from Idaho and the state Republican Party and his fellow newly elected Idaho U.S. Senator are calling for people to not pass judgment. Therefore time will tell what really happened in the airport bathroom regarding Senator Craig's behavior but the strange part of the story is the fact that he showed his business card showing that he is a U.S. Senator as if that gives him special perks and privileges.

Gulf Coast should be a beckon of Hope & Prosperity

We are two years removed from Hurricane Katrina and the aftermath of the devastation that it brought continues to hunt us as we try to move forward. However much hasn't changed in much of the region particularly in New Orleans where the population is down and many who used to stay there prior to Hurricane Katrina might not move back because the levees have not been fixed.

Therefore as we look back on Hurricane Katrina, we must understand that what happened in New Orleans and other parts of the Gulf Coast could happen anywhere. However that is the not the problem or issue, the issue that we as Americans must understand and realize that the rebuilding efforts and recovery efforts of the Gulf Coast region has been piss poor and shameful. America should be ashamed of themselves. In fact all Americans including myself should be ashamed of the type of recovery effort and relief we have given those folks in the Gulf Coast.

While millions and millions of dollars have been put into the region, the results of the recovery and disaster relief effort doesn't show that more billions of dollars have been invested in the region. However, let people tell you, New Orleans and other parts of the Gulf Coast are close to be fully complete. Well they are lying too you just like they did when Hurricane Katrina happened and they reported blacks where robbing and running ramped when in actuality they were only trying to find food and water to fend for themselves until help came to rescue them.

While news helicopters and President Bush's own Air Force didn't try to rescue many from their roofs as they were stranded and looking to get to safer and better grounds. We sit here two years later and act as if they recovery and disaster relief effort is over when in actuality it has never begun. The Gulf Coast region should be looked at as a beckon of hope and prosperity but in reality, it isn't because hope hasn't come and clearly no prosperity has been established. Only broken promises and empty dreams of a better day.

The levees haven't been completely fixed and now we are looking as if noting is wrong. We have failed our own people. We have failed our own Americans. While many of us cried out to the victims of 9/11 for weeks and years, we only cried out for Hurricane Katrina victims for a couple of months. The news stopped covering it and barely speaks a word of the poor redevelopment and recovery efforts that have been implemented in New Orleans and other parts of the Gulf Coast.

How can we spread democracy to the world when we don't even take care of our people, right here at home. New Orleans and other parts of the Gulf Coast shouldn't be a race issue because the truth of the matter is, it did become a race issue rather than a humanitarian and equality issue. The recovery and relief effort should have went to all equally because we are all human beings. We should not have left many stranded and we should not have taken so long to get food and water to the region like we did. FEMA failed, President Bush failed, the Governor and other elected officials of the state failed, the U.S. Congress failed and most of all we, the American people failed to rebuild the Gulf Coast and bring hope and prosperity back to the region.

Therefore as we look back on Hurricane Katrina, remember what happened and what should have been done to bring hope and prosperity back to a region that was begging for the world to help but most of all us, America to help them.

Obama: Nation can’t fail New Orleans again

Presidential hopeful Barack Obama said that America can't fail New Orleans again, however his statements come at a unique time as America gets ready to celebrate the 2nd anniversary of Hurricane Katrina. While Obama speaks about America not failing New Orleans and speaks of his plans to rebuild New Orleans. Why is it that it still seems as if New Orleans is being used a political tool by many Presidential candidates rather than actually being looked at as what it is. A place in America that truly needs and must get more help than what America has proved it. If New Orleans is ever going to be what is used to be than Senator Obama has to have a plan that will bring not only reconstruction to the city but also financial and especially economic aid to the city that will keep New Orleans going beyond this century and well into the future.

Therefore as Senator Obama spoke to neighborhoods in New Orleans, he detailed his plan to help improve the city and get it further ahead than it is.

Edwards stresses import of troop withdrawal from Iraq

Presidential Candidate John Edwards is continuing to stress the importance of a troop withdrawal from Iraq and is telling Congress to continue to go after this issue. While on a campaign stop, many John Edwards made sure that he talked about how Congress should continue to stress the issue of American troops being pulled out of Iraq. Therefore with his message, he is telling Congress as well as the American people to not give up hope of sooner troop withdrawal than expected. While many experts say that a troop withdraw from Iraq is probable, however it has to be carefully planned and strategically outlined to in detail in every aspect. Therefore it is important to understand that the Iraq issue is not going to go away over night and John Edwards is trying to make sure that the American people keep it engraved in their hearts and souls that they want the American troops withdrawfrom Iraq.

Gonzales Said to Have Resigned

Several reports have come in stating that Attorney General Alberto Gonzales has finally decided to resign from his post after months of agruments and discomfort about the way he handled the firing of several lawyers from the State Department. In fact during Gonzales hearing in front of Congress, he couldn't explain in detail why the attorneys were even fired and he appeared to be unaware of any firings.

Thus with President Bush support, Gonzales continued to keep his job despite mounting pressure from both sides of the aisle (Republicans and Democrats). Now with Gonzales set to retire and with Karl Rove already resigning at the end of the month as well as White House Press Secretary Tony Snow stepping down, it seems that President Bush only ally to depend on now days is his Vice President Dick Cheney.

However the real question is who will replace Gonzales. The replacement for Gonzales is what is really going to shape the Presidential debate for 2008 because if President Bush appoints anyone who doesn't know the purpose and goal of the Justice Department than it could be a long year ahead for many. If the Justice Department continues to remain in President Bush's back pocket and Congress particularly the Democrats don't do anything about it than it could be a long year ahead for both Republicans and Democrats as each seek to gain Congressional seats in the November 2008 elections as well as the Presidency.

Analysis: Who's the Dems Goldilocks?

Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton is too experienced, Sen. Barack Obama too raw. Listening to Democrats give their Goldilocks view of the 2008 presidential campaign must make voters wonder: Will any candidate be just right for the White House?

"Senator Obama does represent change. Senator Clinton has experience. Change and experience," New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson said Sunday, making a balancing gesture with his hands. "With me, you get both."

Richardson may be a long shot for the nomination, but his crack underscored a question that dominated the latest presidential debate: A change versus experience dynamic that almost surely will determine who represents the Democratic Party next year.

Obama, a first-term senator only three years out of the Illinois Legislature, casts himself as a change agent who would overcome the nation's broken political system. He hopes to make Clinton's three decades in politics a detriment.

Clinton, a former first lady who entered the Senate as her husband left the White House, says she is the lone candidate with enough experience to enact change.

With Clinton and Obama defining the terms, the remaining Democratic candidates are trying to elbow their way into the "change" and "experience" camps.

"You're not going to have time in January of '09 to get ready for this job," said Sen. Chris Dodd of Connecticut when asked whether Obama had the background to be president. Dodd was first elected to Congress in 1976.

Put him in the experience camp with Delaware's Joe Biden, elected to the Senate in 1972. Biden said Obama was a "wonderful guy," but he stood by past statements questioning Obama's readiness.

Clinton portrayed Obama as naive and challenged his willingness to meet with leaders of renegade nations such as Cuba, North Korea and Iran.

"I do not think that a president should give away the bargaining chip of a personal meeting with any leader unless you know what you are going to get out of that," the New York senator said.
Obama felt the elbows.

"To prepare for this debate I rode in the bumper cars at the state fair," he said with a laugh before turning the issue of experience against his Senate colleagues - all of whom voted to give President Bush authority to go to war against Iraq, and now question Bush's policies.

"The thing that I wished had happened was that all the people on this stage had asked these questions before they authorized us getting in," Obama said.

"I make that point because earlier we were talking about the issue of experience," he added. "Nobody had more experience than Donald Rumsfeld and Dick Cheney.".......

Iraq Troop Withdrawal will take Time

Early this morning in another Democratic Presidential debate, the top tier candidates led by Senator Hillary Clinton warned the audience and the American public that an Iraq troop withdrawal will take time and can't just happen within merely a few months. Senator Clinton said that for security reasons that a troop withdrawal out of Iraq would have to be planned strategically and carefully to make sure all avenues of safety for U.S. forces and civilians are put first when beginning such a withdrawal.

Senator Barack Obama and former Senator John Edwards both agreed with Senator Clinton's remarks. Therefore, all three warned the America public and their party that we should be careful when alluding to a troop withdrawal from Iraq because such a withdrawal will not be easy to come by and it won't be done as quickly as the American public would expect. Therefore all three candidates said that the American people need to understand that an Iraq troop withdrawal will take time but it will take place eventually.

Can Edwards defeat 'inevitability' again?

It seems like John Edwards has been doing the inevitable since the moment he decided to run for President way back in 2003. Now as Mr. Edwards seeks to become the Democratic Party Presidential candidate yet again in 2008 after finishing a distant second to eventual Democratic Party 2004 Presidential candidate John Kerry only to become his running mate in which they lost the general election. John Edwards now has a tougher battle to deal with and that is why the inevitable is even larger this time for Edwards.

While the media focus that he got in 2003 has dwindled to little to known due to the caliber of rock stars or heavyweight contenders that are the field in 2008 precisely Senator Hillary Clinton and Senator Barack Obama, it seems like Edwards not only has to do the inevitable but the unthinkable in order to stay in the 2008 Presidential race. Mr. Edwards would not only have to beat out one of the top two candidates but he has to beat both off them in order to garner enough attention within his own party to perhaps grab the Democratic nomination.

So while National polls show Senator Edwards running a distant third behind Obama and Clinton. It is one state for sure that Senator Edwards has the biggest of hopes and dreams of a miracle to revitalize not only his campaign but perhaps shift some momentum his way that is very much needed as the primary/caucus season heats up. That one state is Iowa and that is where Edwards begins his bus tour with 5 months to go before the first primary/caucus in the state of Iowa, Edwards seems likely to have a strong showing in Iowa with many early polls predicting he would win Iowa, however lately polls have shown him, Clinton and Obama all in a statistical dead heat for the Hawkeye state.

Therefore, this is where the inevitable must truly become the unthinkable as Edwards makes his last straw toward perhaps the only victory that could signal that the Democratic Presidential nominee won't be a cake walk for either Obama or Clinton. No other Democratic candidate even comes close to beating Obama or Clinton in any of the early primary/caucus states. However in Iowa, Edwards has the closet chance. Not in New Hamsphire, South Carolina or Nevada but in Iowa is where the inevitable and unthinkable could become the unbelievable if Edwards pulls off perhaps the biggest not necessarily an upset but a much needed victory and shocking blow to both the Obama and Clinton camps who want to make a stand in the first primary/caucus with a victory.

However an Edwards victory would signal, a switch in media attention and perhaps a gleaming hope of more spotlight on his campaign and movement that could carry him to the Party's nomination. Although an Edward's win in Iowa could also signal that the Democratic Party's nomination is not a two candidate race but whether a three candidate race as many have expected but haven't seen since early this year.

So in Iowa is where Edwards needs a victory and it is where the inevitable could become the unthinkable and the unbelievable.

Memphis Mayor Willie Herenton has a Great Political Strategy

Now to some of you out there, this might sound like a terrible political strategy but I have seen how such a strategy can work. Okay the strategy I am talking about is avoiding debates. Now if you are a new candidate running for office, such a strategy will not work for you but for a veteran like Willie Herenton of Memphis, it is the perfect strategy. While incumbent Mayor of Memphis Willie Herenton who has been mayor since 1993 of the great city of Memphis, birthplace of my father and childhood stomping ground of my mother. I have to say that with Mayor Herenton embattled in scandals and other things that just make the media ratings go up and his opponents seeming to focus more and more on it, it is a good idea for him to avoid debates and just go directly to the people and talk to them about his record and the things he has done as well as the things he plan to do if elected Mayor again.

In the game of politics, it is always hard to defeat an incumbent especially if the incumbent has a record that shows change and improvement for the better. However Mayor Herenton's record isn't spotless by no means so he is beatable, however his opponents have not mustard enough credibility in terms of speaking on what they actually plan to do to change the city of Memphis or improve it. While Mayor Herenton's opponents talk about all the things that the media seem to focus on regarding Mayor Herenton, they have failed to talk about their platform and their record for improving troubling situations.

It is good to run for office and talk about change but you have to have a plan to go with that talk and clearly as I see it, none of Mayor Herenton's opponents have that. For example, one of Mayor Herenton's top opponents is too busy talking about how the candidates running for mayor should take a drug test. Does taking a drug test and passing it make you suitable to be mayor? Is that going to fix the war on drugs and crime in the city of Memphis if you have a Mayor who doesn't spoke weed or take drugs?

Also the field for mayor is overcrowded as I see it and Mayor Herenton is the only candidate out there currently not needing to debate. With such an overcrowded field, it shows that many of the candidates see the October 4 election as winnable in the sense that they don't see any of their other opponents beating Herenton. Also with such an overcrowded field, there are two things to happen for sure, Mayor Herenton winning because the candidates splitting the vote because it is already predicted that Herenton will get at least 20-30% of the vote since he is the incumbent. so that means 70-80% of the vote is out there for the other 10 candidates to obtain. Thus that is why his opponents are screaming and hollering for a debate because they want to stand out and get exposure in order to garner a piece of the pie of media and public attention that could help put one of them over the top in terms of beating King Willie as some of Memphis call him.

So while his opponents want to debate and are eager to go forward with it. They must remember that even if they get to debate and Mayor Herenton sticks to his word which I hope he does and doesn't participate in the debate, they will have to present to the public audience what new ideas or improvements they plan to give to the city rather than just criticize Mayor Herenton. Because insults about Mayor Herenton will only result in the media seeking to find Mayor Herenton the next day where he can surround himself with a group of his supporters and deliver an insightful and clever as well as strategically planned response that is sure to get him another term in office if his opponents don't come with some positive ideas for improvement.

So while many might not like Mayor Herenton as a person, you have to admit that his political strategy will surely garner him attention in terms of taking his message and his record to the people of Memphis and have them judge him on what he has done over the 14 years. I might be an outsider but as I see it, Mayor Willie Herenton has done a lot of great things for the city of Memphis while his opponents struggle to find themselves and their own record which is way they want to debate and need a debate. While a wildly veteran like Dr. Herenton, I should say has his own merits and record of improving the city to stand on.

GOP Iowa Straw Poll

Now what does the GOP Iowa Straw Poll really mean. Well for former Governor of Wisconsin Tommy Thompson, it meant his Presidential hopes were dashed as he only recieved 7% of the vote and decided that was enough for him to drop out the race.
However for other GOP candidates like Senator Sam Brownback of Kansas who finished third behind a lower funded Mike Huckabee former Governor of Arkansas, it means absolutely nothing as he went in to work like it was just another day(http://www.kansascity.com/news/politics/story/230607.html .)
Also Senator John McCain who didn't waste time or energy really trying to get people to vote for him in the poll, said the Iowa straw poll doesn't make you or break you. It means nothing according to Senator McCain (http://www.reuters.com/article/politicsNews/idUSHUN37371620070813 .)

So with several marquee Republicans being no-shows in the Iowa straw poll such as leading GOP Presiddential contender former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani, Sen. John McCain of Arizona and potential candidate Fred Thompson, a former senator from Tennessee. That left the straw poll to be won by former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney who was happy to win the poll. Romney camp was excited about the victory but said the race isn't over yet.

Thus the GOP Iowa Straw Poll caused a shake up at the top and gave a second chance to some GOP candidates hopes of becoming President while dashing others. Therefore time will tell as to what this latest straw poll really meant but for now, it shows that you don't have to raise top dollar to win in a straw poll in Iowa because clearly that's how Mike Huckabee came in a distant second with 18% of the vote in the straw poll (http://www.cqpolitics.com/2007/08/huckabee_scores_second_place_i.html.)

Not Invisible to Me

Senator Hillary Clinton is set to air the first commercial in Iowa. While Senator Clinton leads in National polls, the latest poll coming out of Iowa shows that Senator Clinton has finally made her way to the top and could possibly win the first primary/caucus which is set to take place in no place other than the state of Iowa. Therefore, since Senator Clinton is believed to be in a deadlock with Senator Barack Obama and former Senator John Edwards in Iowa, Clinton has decided to launch the first television commercial in Iowa in hopes of being more visible in the state and perhaps garner enough support to bury her two top Democratic opponents from thinking they have a chance at beating her in any other states after Iowa.

Previous polls coming out of Iowa showed Senator Clinton either running second or third between John Edwards but the last two polls show all three in a statiscal dead heat so, Senator Clinton and her camp are starting to feel that Iowa is very winnable than previously thought several months ago when someone advised Senator Clinton to pull her funding out of Iowa and focus on states such as New Hampshire and South Carolina. However Senator Clinton told those advisors no and that she was in it to win it, meaning she was going to win Iowa. I must admit I even doubted Senator Clinton for a minute but now it seems as if she just might be able to pull off such a feat if things in her campaign to progress strongly.

Only time will tell that's all I have to say.

Karl Rove--The 'Architect' Envisioned GOP Supremacy

The Architect of George W. Bush administration is set to retire at the end of August. While Karl Rove envisioned GOP Supremacy, he didn't expect to suffer the defeats he suffered on two key issues that he worked on while being the man behind getting Bush elected to the Presidency twice. Karl Rove never did see social security reform and the immigration issue was never resolved either. So what will the history show of Karl Rove as he drifts off into the sunset, only time will tell. The brain child as some would call him, perhaps might be greatest GOP political strategist this country has ever seen but while his brain trust of wisdom could get President Bush elected to office, it couldn't get people including many members of the GOP to see President Bush way on hundreds on key issues ranging from Social Security Reform to the Iraq War.

So with Karl Rove announcing he is calling it quits at the end of August in order to go back home. Things just don't seem right. Is this Rove trying to get out of the lame light in order to avoid being called up by the Congress on several issues pertaining to his involvement in the firing of several U.S. Prosecutors. Well if Karl Rove is trying to run from than the Democrats said he can go home but we will definitely be coming after him. Clearly the Democrats are not afraid to call up former staffers or political employees of the Bush administration because just early this month, they called former Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfield back up to D.C. where he had to answer questions regarding the Pat Tillman death cover up.

Thus Karl Rove resignation is shocking but you can expect him to be summoned by the Congress in the months after his resign.

A Sad Day in Detroit

I never thought I would see the day when only 5% of a cities eligible voters would go out to vote. Now I know this is not a Presidential year and that no one is running for Mayor, Governor, State Representative, State Senator, U.S. Representative, U.S. Senator, or any County seats. However in the city of Detroit, a place where for 7 years, the State had taken over their school system and took away their citizens right to vote or elect a school board (but more like rubbed them of their right to vote like a thief in the night). Only 5% of Detroiters care about electing school board members after the Keep the Vote No Take Over Rallies that constantly were demonstrated outside of School Board Meetings when the Board was State ran. Are you telling me that only 5% of the citizens of Detroit care about their sons and daughters future while in Detroit Public Schools? Do you mean to tell me that only 5% of Detroiters send their children to Detroit Public Schools?

If this is the case than I think more schools need to be closed because enrollment in Detroit Public Schools in drastically than what I previously heard. After all the bickering and hollering about not closing schools, how come no one reminded Detroiters that on August 7, they had a chance to elect new board members to the school board or at least ensure that at least three incumbents don't make it to November. However once again the citizens of Detroit including myself failed the youth of Detroit by not campaigning hard enough to make sure that three incumbents didn't make it out the primaries of Detroit School Board Elections. Only one of the three incumbents failed to win her primary which is Paula Johnson who represents my district. So while we made a partial victory, we still have a long way to go because now her money bank is really about to come in so that she can get her seat back on the board.

So that is why I am appealing to Detroiters that if you are fed up with the current school board and the decisions they have made such as closing schools without considering it carefully and reasonably as well as giving high paid contracts to organizations and businesses that have performed poor services for the district in the past, i.e. Aramark than come November let's elect at least 5 to 6 new members to the Board. I'm tired of the days of seeing Judge Mathis say come back to DPS when majority of the members on the board can't even tell you why a parent should sent their child back to DPS.

Some of the brightest and best minds around the city of Detroit, the state of Michigan, the United States and the world came from Detroit Public Schools but you wouldn't know it by the way the Board has been bamboozled by private investors i.e. Charter Schools into closing down DPS building and selling the buildings to the Mayor and his people who want to build Charter Schools any way. So what does this mean for DPS when Charter Schools start springing up every where. It means that our own Board has sold us out unless we elect members who are willing to stand up to political powerhouse of the Mayor of Detroit Kwame Kilpatrick and the state of Michigan.

However this can't happen if only 5% of the citizens go out to vote. Therefore let's not make November another sad day in Detroit like August 7, 2007 was. Let's try to get 50% or more of Detroit citizens to go out to vote.

Forum puts Democrats on hot seat over gay issues

Now, I must admit, that I commend the Democratic Presidential candidates for at least taking the opportunity to address gay rights issues. The top Democratic Presidential candidates did not bag out of a debate in California dealing with predominately gay issues. In fact each candidate represented tried to tackle many of the hard questions that was posed to them and they should just how much they are willing to address all issues. While Senators Joe Biden and Chris Dodd could not be present, the other 6 candidates especially Senator Clinton, the front runner seemed apologetic in the sense that she said her husband didn't do enough for gay rights while in office but she also stated that we fought hard for many gay rights initiatives but we didn't do enough.

Even former Senator John Edwards addressed the issue of him supposedly being afraid of gays and Edwards said he is comfortable around them. That assumption came from a book that falsely portrays Edwards according to Edwards. However the best question was possessed to New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson about whether people being gay was by choice or where they born with it. Clearly Governor Richardson found it difficult to answer but he attempted.

Now the real reason I am writing about this debate isn't to talk about the flaws of the Democratic Presidential Candidates but it is whether to point to the flaws of the Republican Presidential front runners who refused to participate in similar debate style. Now if you want to be President of the United States of America, you must be willing to accept and talk to all people regardless of the sexual orientation, skin color, religion, etc. Therefore I am sending this message to the Republican Party and its Presidential front runners, an injustice any where is an injustice to all. While you might not agree with how gays operate, you can't deny them the same rights as everyone else.

The reason why so many amendments have been added to our American Constitution is because people tried to bind the rules in their favor in order to hold down a particular race or gender. Therefore African Americans and women should know that what is taking place to gays is not right. They deserve the same type of treatment and fairness as straights. Religion and politics should not mix. For example if a gay person went to your church would you tell them to get out of the house of the Lord or better yet tell them that the Lord doesn't want them here. Well I don't think that would be the Godly thing to do.

We as human beings need to learn that God wants us to treat all human equally regardless of their religion, sexual preference or sins. We are not God and we shouldn't judge others or try to hold others down because we disagree with their lifestyle. Now we do have the right to talk to those people and ask them to change their ways by showing them how God saves souls and lives for the righteous. However we do not turn away a child of God no matter what sin they have committed because we are all sinners and that is why God gave us his only Son, who dead to take away all our sins.

Therefore we need to understand that by not allowing gays to have the same rights as every other America, we are not doing the morally just thing. In fact we are being immoral by not given them the same perks and benefits that straight people have. So let's start the debate and do the right thing. If the Republican Presidential candidates want to truly be our next Commander and Chief than they need to answer the same gay issue questions that their counterparts answered.

YouTube - Debate '08: Obama Girl vs Giuliani Girl

Obama Girl vs. Giuliani Girl is the latest video to hit Youtube and it seems that each video continues to get more creative. Therefore I am not going to say much but let you the fans look at it and judge it.

Hott 4 Hill

After seeing the Obama Girl video, I thought it couldn't get any better until I saw the Hott 4 Hill video. Clearly politics or at least this 2008 Presidential election is becoming more intriguing the releases of music videos by fans who adore the candidates and want to see them in the White House. Also this shows that Hillary Clinton is in tune with the computer generation. So as the primaries in Iowa, New Hampshire and South Carolina approach, time will tell just how far Hillary's mass appeal to Generation X really is.

Jay-Z - History

(Jay-Z - History)Jay-Z - History with Lyrics

LYRICS : [Chorus: Cee-lo]
Now that all the smoke is gone
(Lighter)
And the battle's finally won
(Gimme a lighter)
Victory (Lighters up) is finally ours
(Lighters up)
History, so long, so long
So long, so long

[Verse 1: Jay-Z]
In search of victory, she keeps eluding me
If only we could be together momentarily
We can make love and make history
Why won't you visit me? until she visit me
I'll be stuck with her sister, her name is defeat
She gives me agony, so much agony
She brings me so much pain, so much misery
Like missing your last shot and falling to your knees
As the crowd screams for the other team
I practice so hard for this moment, victory don't leave
I know what this means, I'm stuck in this routine
Whole new different day, same old thing
All I got is dreams, nobody else can see
Nobody else believes, nobody else but me
Where are you victory? I need you desperately
Not just for the moment, to make history

[Chorus: Cee-lo]
Now that all the smoke is gone
(Lighters)
And the battle's finally won
(Lighters)
Victory is finally ours
(Yeah)
History (yeah), so long, so long
So long, so long

[Verse 2: Jay-Z]
So now I'm flirting with death, hustling like a G
While victory wasn't watching took chances repeatedly
As a teenage boy before acne, before I got proactiv I couldn't face she
I just threw on my hoodie and headed to the street
That's where I met success, we'd live together shortly
Now success is like lust, she's good to the touch
She's good for the moment but she's never enough
Everybody's had her, she's nothing like V
But success is all I got unfortunately
But I'm burning down the block hoppin' in and out of V
But something tells me that there's much more to see
Before I get killed because I can't get robbed
So before me success and death ménage
I gotta get lost, I gotta find V
We gotta be together to make history

[Chorus: Cee-lo]
Now that all the smoke is gone
(Lighters. Up.)
And the battle's finally won
(Lighter. Up.)
Victory is finally ours
(Lighters. Up.)
History, so long, so long
So long, so long

[Verse 3: Jay-Z]
Now victory is mine, it tastes so sweet
She's my trophy wife, you're coming with me
We'll have a baby who stutters repeatedly
We'll name him history, he'll repeat after me
He's my legacy, son of my hard work
Future of my past, he'll explain who I be
Rank me amongst the greats, either 1, 2, or 3
If I ain't number one then I failed you victory
Ain't in it for the fame that dies within weeks
Ain't in it for the money, can't take it when you leave
I wanna be remembered long after you grieve
Long after I'm gone, long after I breathe
I leave all I am in the hands of history
That's my last will and testimony
This is much more than a song, it's a baby shower
I've been waiting for this hour, history you ours

[Chorus: Cee-lo (2x)]
Now that all the smoke is gone
And the battle's finally won
Victory is finally ours
History, so long, so long
So long, so long

Man in the Mirror--By Michael Jackson

Michael Jackson - Man in the mirror

I'm gonna make a change,
for once im my life
It's gonna feel real good,
gonna make a diference
Gonna make it right...

As I, turn up the collar on
my favorite winter coat
This wind is blowing my mind
I see the kids in the streets,
with not enought to eat
Who am I to be blind?
Pretending not to see their needs

A summer disregard,a broken bottle top
And a one man soul
They follow each other on the wind ya' know
'Cause they got nowhere to go
That's why I want you to know

I'm starting with the man in the mirror
I'm asking him to change his ways
And no message could have been any clearer
If you wanna make the world a better place
(If you wanna make the world a better place)
Take a look at yourself, and then make a change
(Take a look at yourself, and then make a change)
(Na na na, na na na, na na, na nah)

I've been a victim of a selfish kind of love
It's time that I realize
That there are some with no home, not a nickel to loan
Could it be really me, pretending that they're not alone?

A willow deeply scarred, somebody's broken heart
And a washed-out dream
(Washed-out dream)
They follow the pattern of the wind ya' see
'Cause they got no place to be
That's why I'm starting with me
(Starting with me!)

I'm starting with the man in the mirror
(Ooh!)
I'm asking him to change his ways
(Ooh!)
And no message could have been any clearer
If you wanna make the world a better place
(If you wanna make the world a better place)
Take a look at yourself, and then make a change
(Take a look at yourself, and then make a change)

I'm starting with the man in the mirror
(Ooh!)
I'm asking him to change his ways
(Change his ways - ooh!)
And no message could have been any clearer
If you wanna make the world a better place
Take a look at yourself and then make that..
(Take a look at yourself and then make that..)
CHANGE!

I'm starting with the man in the mirror
(Man in the mirror - Oh yeah!)
I'm asking him to change his ways
(Better change!)
No message could have been any clearer
(If you wanna make the world a better place)

A Change is Gonna Come by Sam Cook

It's been a long time coming but a change is surely going to come in America and the World! I am the Future of America and the World and that is the message that each of us must carry with us each and every day that we wake up on Earth! I am the Future! You are the Future! We are the Future of America and the World! That is way every election is important--primaries, special elections and general! So vote every year and hold our politicians accountable. Hold our political officials accountable by writing them, calling them and making sure they attend meetings that we the people have. "The Time for Change is not Now but Right Now!"

"EmPOWERment By Any Means Necessary" should be our anthem and should be our creed as we make the positive differences in America and the world that so many people beg for and hungry for year after year! A Change is Gonna Come, A Change is Gonna Come, that's what we must say as we say "God grants us the serenity to accept the things we cannot change, Courge to change the things we can, and the wisdom to know the difference" each morning before we go about the task of making a positive change in America and the world a reality.

Born In The U.S.A. - Bruce Springsteen

“When will people realize that we are Americans first and foremost, not Democrats or Liberals, not Republicans or Conservatives, not Independents or moderates. We are Americans. Stop putting a political party above America and stop putting any politican above America. America succeeds because of us the people holding our government responsible no matter the political party because the main two political parties are to blame for the condition America is in."—Hodari P.T. Brown

America with its flaws and all is a country I am proud to have been born in. America is not perfect but my love for it is perfect. That’s why all Americans must realize that we are all Americans. In fact we are Americans first and foremost. We are not Democrats or Republicans. We are Americans.

We are not Muslims, Christians or Jews. We are Americans. Too many times we recognize our differences with others rather than appreciating our similarities which are, we are Americans. We are Americans first and foremost, no matter if we were born here or moved here legally. We are all Americans, here in this country to make not only our lives better but the lives of other Americans better so future Americans can enjoy the rights and freedoms that make us all Americans.

We are all Americans. We are one party united under God. We are Americans and this is the only political party that matters. We are Americans and this is our country so let’s make sure that we make America better than how we found it so future Americans can live prosperous and joyous lives. We are Americans and must not ever forget that.

America will prosper as long we make sure we are doing our part to make it prosper and that means we can’t put any political party or politician above America. Long live America forever and long live America’s service to the world. Together, America and the world will prosper for future generations to enjoy America and the world we live in.

Lift Every Voice and Sing

This video of the ' Negro National Anthem' was originally screened at the historic African-American Church Inaugural Ball in Washington, DC on January 18th, 2009. Many of the esteemed individuals featured in this video in attendance and we presented with the ' Keepers of the Flame' award for the monumental contributions to social justice.

This version of the song was performed by the Grace Baptist Church Cathedral Choir, conducted by Derrick James. The video was produced and donated by Ascender Communications, LLC (www.ascender-c.com) at the request of The Balm In Gilead, Inc.

If I Was President--Wyclef Jean

If I was President that is the people's anthem. We all have ideas of what we can do as President and through this website, we will fulfill our deam as a people!

Somethings Gotta Give--Big Boi ft Mary J Blige

Somethings Gotta Give people and it begins today for all us to make sure that something is us. We the people are sick and tired of suffering. Where is our piece of the Dream that so many people dead for so that we all could see today. This is our time people to change America and the world so that the Next Generation has a better future than the past we inherited.

This is our call to service. This isn't about one political candidate or one political figure. This is about us as people coming together to finally leave up to our potential and achieving the great feats that those before us have achieved. This is our moment to lead our nation and our world to greater heights.

Somethings gotta give people and it starts with us the people making it happen. We have to improve our education system in America. We have to rid the world of the HIV/AIDS epidemic. We have to go to the streets and lift a hand to another in order to decrease poverty in this world. We have to take a stand today and make sure that the future of America and the world is brighter than it has ever been.

Somethings Gotta Give and that is why we must "Remember Each One, Reach One and Teach One so America's future and the World's future continues to prosper."

John Legend - "If You're Out There"

If you're out there than you need to get started in helping to change America and the world. The world and America won't change until you get involved in making the changes you want to see in this world. If you're out there, than you must know that tomorrow started now and today started yesterday so you are behind in helping to the change. If you are tired of hatred, racism, poverty, war, and violence than the time to change it is now. If you want universal health care, world peace, democracy for every nation, equal rights, and happiness for all than you must get involved now to help the save world.

You must believe in the change that you want to see and you must act on making that change a reality. If you're out there than say it aloud and show the rest of America and the world that you're out here to make a real positive change in the communities we stay in. If you're out there than get involved now. I'm calling every women and men to join me as we take back our country right here, right now. If you're out there than the future started yersterday and we are already late so we have lots of work to do but I know we can do it together as one.

YES WE CAN

Yes We Can accomplish anything that we set out to do! We don't need charismatic or inspirational leaders to believe in ourselves and to take responsiblity for our own faith, we just need each other. Yes We Can build a new America and a new world if each of us would take action now to make the changes that we want to see in the world. Yes We Can control government by holding our political officials accountable for their actions by calling them out when they don't pass legislation that supports the common good of all man and by voting in every election to ensure that we have people representing the people locally, state wide, nationally and in the world.

Yes We Can be great! Yes We Can be what we want to be! Yes We Can be glorious in not only America but the world! Yes We can put action behind our worlds and change the world starting right here, right now! Yes We Can as Republicans, Democrats and Independents become one as we freely think about our fellow men and women and make decisions that will be in the best interest of all people and not one single group.

Yes We Can be the change that we want to see in the world! Yes We Can show the world that the youth are ready to lead! Yes We Can put our egos, our social economic statuses, our religions, our educational statuses and our skin color to the side for the better good of the world! Yes We Can be Greater than we have ever been and help others be Greater than they have ever be!

YES WE CAN and YES WE WILL BE VICTORIOUS IN ALL THAT WE DO! YES WE CAN, no matter what others may say, we will be glorious! YES WE WILL and YES WE CAN! YES WE CAN!

YES WE CAN! YES WE CAN! YES WE CAN is what will be sung from every mountaintop, every riverbank, every household, every school yard, every factory, every sporting event, every college campus and even every place you can imagine in the world is where YES WE CAN, will be said and heard!

YES WE CAN!

Keep On Pushing - Curtis Mayfield & the Impressions

Wake Up People! No matter who is elected to any public office, we have to “Keep On Pushing” as a people to make sure they don’t leave us in a worst state than what they inherited. We as a people have to “Keep On Pushing” to make a difference in the lives of others. We have to have an “EmPOWERment By Any Means Necessary” attitude as we continue to push our agenda that we the people deserve and want better. We have to “Keep On Pushing” to bring about change in a positive way that will benefit all Americans no matter their age, their religion or skin color. We have to “Keep On Pushing” to bring about change that will improve our education system, improve our military, improve our national security, improve our healthcare system and improve our economy. We have to “Keep On Pushing” to bring about change that will leave America’s future in a better than how we found it and that will leave the world’s future in a better state than we imagined we could live it. We have to “Keep On Pushing” to make life better for our neighborhoods, our families and even our quote on quote enemies. We have to “Keep On Pushing” to inspire, to uplift and to guide those who need help spiritually, physically and mentally. We have to “Keep On Pushing ” so that our lives, our future generation’s lives and the lives of those who came before us does not die in vein.

A War For Your Soul

A War For Your Soul-regular version from Erisai Films on Vimeo.

The moment has come for us as a nation of people to finally wake up and realize that our destiny and fate in society has rests on our shoulders. We cannot allow the forces of evil and darkness to drain us out. We have to continue to overcome all odds in order to make the future of our nation better and the future of future generations of Americans better. We have to continue to pray to our Lord and we have to continue to uplift each other in prayer as well as take action against those things that are trying to destroy us. We have to stand up once and for all and be the future that we want to be. Now is our time and we shall do together by any means necessary.

This video was created to inspire young African-Americans not to fall prey to some of the problems they face in society. The use of the voice "Master of Darkness" represents evil, which is where the blame of all problems should be placed, and not on any one group of people. This video should not to be used to divide people (Black & White), there are images of heroes that are white in this video, and there are images of Black & White coming together with the words of Dr. King in the background. Some of the images from the past can be unsettling, but they are used to show all Americans how far we have come, and how far we still have to go. This film is being strategically placed in school systems, churches and youth orgs around the country, in hope of helping a lost generation of kids that we as Americans have forgotten. As fellow Americans we must continue to love each other, and take that love and spread it to the rest of the world. **THIS VIDEO IS NOT FOR SALE & I AM NOT ACCEPTING DONATIONS FOR THE FILM, I ONLY WANT THE MESSAGE TO REACH AS MANY PEOPLE AS POSSIBLE WITHOUT ANY HIDDEN POLITICAL OR FINANCIAL AGENDA.

Sitting On the Dock of the Bay by Otis Redding

"The time for sitting is over! The time for action is now! The time for hope without action is hopeless! The time for change without a positive attitude is a change that we can't believe in! We need change that is positive of helping all people! Our time for action is now, our time for hope is now, our time for change is now and our time to believe that we can do whatever we set our minds to is not now but right now!"

STAR SPANGLED BANNER

The Star-Spangled Banner by Francis Scott Key

O say, can you see, by the dawn's early light,
What so proudly we hailed at the twilight's last gleaming?
Whose broad stripes and bright stars through the perilous fight,
O'er the ramparts we watched were so gallantly streaming;
And the rocket's red glare, the bombs bursting in air,
Gave proof through the night that our flag was still there;
O say, does that star-spangled banner yet wave
O'er the land of the free, and the home of the brave?

On the shore dimly seen through the mists of the deep,
Where the foe's haughty host in dread silence reposes,
What is that which the breeze, o'er the towering steep,
As it fitfully blows, now conceals, now discloses?
Now it catches the gleam of the morning's first beam,
In full glory reflected now shines on the stream;
'Tis the star-spangled banner; O long may it wave
O'er the land of the free, and the home of the brave!

And where is that band who so vauntingly swore
That the havoc of war and the battle's confusion
A home and a country should leave us no more?
Their blood has washed out their foul footsteps' pollution.
No refuge could save the hireling and slave,
From the terror of flight and the gloom of the grave;
And the star-spangled banner in triumph doth wave
O'er the land of the free, and the home of the brave!

O! thus be it ever, when freemen shall stand
Between their loved homes and the war's desolation!
Blest with victory and peace, may the heav'n-rescued land,
Praise the power that hath made and preserved us a nation.
Then conquer we must, for our cause it is just.
And this be our motto— "In God is our trust; "
And the star-spangled banner in triumph shall wave
O'er the land of the free, and the home of the brave.

Black President

Our Time is not now but Right Now! Our Time has finally come to change the world not now but Right Now! If you don't believe that we can change the world than watch as we do it by changing your mind into believing in us and what we can do! This is OUR TIME RIGHT HERE, RIGHT NOW!

FIGHT THE POWER

We got to FIGHT THE POWER! We can no longer sit on the sidelines and watch injustices take place. We can no longer sit by and allow our right to vote to become unexercised. We must FIGHT THE POWER for our past, present and future! We can no longer allow our rights to be oppressed and our voice to become drained by the powers at be. We must FIGHT THE POWER and show that we have a lot to say that needs to be heard by the mainstream media. We must FIGHT THE POWER and live up to our potential as dynamic, unbelievable and phenomenal people.

We must not believe the hype but we must become the hype. We are not Harriett Tubman, Marcus Garvey, MLK, Malcolm X, Booker T. Washington, Carter G. Woodson, W.E.B. DuBois, the Black Panther Party, SNCC, or any other activists but we are the fathers, mothers, sons, daughters, uncles, aunties, and relatives of those who came before us to pave the way for us to FIGHT THE POWER! We are not next Generation of leaders who will not be honored and praised until they die but that’s the fight we accept. We are not fighting the power for glory or fame but we are fighting the power for just causes that most men and women will not understand until years or decades later.

We are fighting for our sisters and brothers in Darfur, Georgia, Iraq, Iran, China and Mexico. We are speaking for those who are poor and have no food or water. We are fighting for those who are sick and dying. We are fighting for universal healthcare across the world and human rights for all people. We are fighting for rich and poor! We must FIGHT THE POWER no matter how hard and tough the road may be. We must FIGHT THE POWER for a better today and an even greater tomorrow!

FIGHT THE POWER!

PEOPLE GET READY

“People Get Ready” our time is coming! We have come too far to turn back now. Our train is coming and it is coming in waves. “People Get Ready”, we don’t need a ticket but we need faith and the Lord will help guide us as we take back America and the world. “People Get Ready” our moment is now and we are ready to see the change we want in America and the world. All we got to do is have faith, hope and prosperity. “People Get Ready” to face your fears. “People Get Ready” to face your demons and the challenges of yesterday because today and tomorrow we will conquer & be victorious. “People Get Ready” a change is coming and our actions will make sure that change is a real positive change that lasts forever.

“People Get Ready” because we have had enough of just talking but now is our time to show action. “People Get Ready” to take back America and the world. “People Get Ready” to take back our communities and to make our streets safer and schools better. “People Get Ready” to make all our dreams come true. “People Get Ready” to see a better present for everyone and a better future for future generations. “People Get Ready” to live up to your potential and to help others live up to their own potential. “People Get Ready” to move past hatred, bigotry, racism and sexism. “People Get Ready” to fulfill the dreams of those who came before us and those who will come after us.

“People Get Ready” as we make our actions speak louder than our words. “People Get Ready” to make words mean something again as we put action to back up our rhetoric. “People Get Ready” as we embark on a new journey that will re-write America’s history as well as the world’s history. “People Get Ready” as we make the lives of others better and the lives of future generations better. “People Get Ready” because all we need is faith, hope and action to make this world a better place. “People Get Ready” to make a difference. “People Get Ready” to fulfill the American dream. “People Get Ready" to live out the American Dream as our founding fathers wanted us to live it. “People Get Ready” because our time is now, our moment is now and our moment in time to change America & the world is not now but right now. “People Get Ready” because a change is coming!

Alicia]
(Let me tell you now)
People get ready, there's a train comin'
You don't need no baggage, you just get on board
All you need is faith to hear the diesels hummin'
You don't need no ticket, you just thank the lord

[Lyfe]
People get ready, for a train to Jordan
Picking up passengers coast to coast
Faith is the key, open the doors and board them
There's hope for all among those loved the most

[Alicia]
There ain't no room for the hopeless sinner
Who would hurt all man kind just to save his own (believe me now)
Have pity on those whose chances grow thinner
For there's no hiding place against the kingdoms throne

[Alicia & Lyfe]
So people get ready there's a train coming
You don't need no baggage, you just get on board
All you need is faith to hear the diesels humming,
You don't need no ticket, you just thank the lord
