What do you get when you combine an idiot with a Democracy? Well the answer is you get an Idiocracy. This is exactly what many people feel is taking place in America. For some people, they feel that an uninformed voter who doesn’t know the issues but votes on personalities and characteristics rather than combining that with a person’s voting record and stance on the issues is clearly the beginning of an Idiocracy. An Idiocracy is a scary feeling because imagine a society of individual who not only vote without knowing what they are voting for but a society of people that allows their politicians to do whatever they want without ever speaking up against it.
This is the situation that we are facing in America today. America is slowly but surely becoming a nation that doesn’t want to be educated and those that are educated are becoming lazy thus becoming idiots when it comes to our democracy. Our beloved democracy is being run by idiots and the electorate itself doesn’t seem to mind and those that do mind are beat upside their head just for thinking differently. America’s Democracy is becoming an Idiocracy because the very people who are being elected are idiots and majority of those who elected them are idiots because they can’t tell you what the person they voted for stands for. America is slowly becoming a nation filled with idiots that reproduce more idiots in most cases.
This is the situation that we are facing in America not only today but in the future unless we change the state of how our people are educated about politics. Our Democracy needs saving and the only way this can be done is by making sure that our family, our friends and our neighbors are educated not only about the issues a politician stands for but what are the pros and cons to all issues. Our Democracy needs help because we the people don’t understand and won’t understand the meaning of a government that works unless we educate ourselves and each other on the meaning of government.
We are slowly but surely become an Idiocracy where we care about having charismatic people or good looking people in office than people who actually have the knowledge to do the job and have the experience to give the people what we need as well as what we want sometimes. We can’t continue done this path of stupidity people. We are slowly but surely becoming a nation that believes in what is reported on the news and believes in doing one sided research rather than digging deeper to uncover the real truth and coming up with our own conclusions. We are slowly but surely becoming a nation that superficial and stuck on stupid rather than a nation that wants to grow in order to be better.
Our Idiocracy is emerging right before our very eyes and all many of us can do is laugh rather than take some things serious. All any of us can do is vote for the person we would either like to have a drink with or would like to have sex with rather than vote for the person who stands on the side of the issues that we believe. An Idiocracy is emerging right before us and it is emerging because many of us don’t know where we stand on the issues and if we do know, we don’t pay attention to the issues close enough to know where the person who we voted for or will vote stands on the issue.
We are slowly but surely becoming a nation that is lazy to the point where our children can’t spell and count but most of all can’t even speak good dictation without using a curse word every two seconds. An Idiocracy is emerging before us people and we are too lazy to see it and we simply don’t care for it. An Idiocracy is beginning to sweep through us as a people and if we don’t wake up to understand what is happening that we will be worst off for years to come.
Wake up people and fight against this Idiocracy and the ramifications of it. We must seek knowledge people. We must seek information. We must gather information and come to our conclusions on the issues and stop listening to others. An Idiocracy will only harm the state of this imperfect union and will make this imperfect union imperfect forever unless we do something now.
An Idiocracy is upon us and this is the curse out of all the other curses we must break. We must not be fooled by the tricks. We must not stop trying to break the chains of slavery that still remain on so many of our minds. We must not succumb to the shackles on our minds but we must break free of the bondage in order to find independence. That is the only way we can defeat the Idiocracy that is emerging.
Time and time again, we see the masses of slaves go to the polls almost every year to elect officials to public office and to vote on proposals but majority of these masses don’t know the issues, don’t know the candidates and don’t know why they are even voting outside of the fact that they think a candidate is cute or is funny. Wake up people, this Idiocracy has to end so that a true Democracy can begin. We can no longer support legislation that does more harm than good but because it promises to create jobs and do things for education, we are for it. It is this type of Idiocracy that has crippled and is literally destroying what a Democracy should be.
Thomas Jefferson once said that a democracy needs replenishing with the blood with patriots and tyrants. While our Democracy has been long overdue for that because this Idiocracy is running rampant and those of us who want to realize the Democracy that our Founding Fathers wanted are long overworked in this fight to replenish America’s Democracy. This Idiocracy can’t reign forever because at this rate, our Democracy will be so far run down that no matter what we do as a nation, we will never ever be able to rebuild it at least not in any of our lifetimes or our great great-grandkids lifetime either.
We must preserve our Democracy now people. We must wake up from this Idiocracy and take hold of our destiny as a nation. We can’t continue to vote for politicians based off of looks and how they dress. We can’t simply elect individuals because they speak well especially if their rhetoric doesn’t match their voting record or stance on the issues. We can’t simply allow the media and other sources to tell us how to think but we must gather all the information from liberals, conservatives, and moderates in order to research it and come to our own conclusions on where we stand as individuals on the issues. We can’t be idiots to the issues. We can’t be passive to what is happening around us.
This Idiocracy is real people and if we don’t’ wake up to realize it than it will remain forever. We have to bring our Democracy back by not just allowing politicians to leave up to campaign promises without understanding the ramifications of such promised legislation. We have to be knowledgeable on the issues and we have to decipher through rhetoric and talking points in order to come up with the facts that we need. Wake up people and help preserve this Democracy.
This is Idiocracy must end people and we must awaken to recapture our Democracy which so many fought for so many of us to even see and participate in. This Idiocracy must not prevail; we must be victorious in uplifting our Democracy. Time is on our side and so shall history but we must act now to defeat this Idiocracy. This Idiocracy cannot be vigilant any longer, we must stomp it out and root it out if our Democracy is to take its rightful place in this Great Nation, we call America.
LET DEMOCRACY REIGN OVER IDIOCRACY ANY DAY!
