Fiscal Conservative Republicans are the only ones who stand in the way of this rescue plan or $700 billion dollar bailout. It is clear that in the Senate lead by the Banking and Finance Chair Chris Dodd, who is only worried about covering up his tracks for taking the most money from Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae over the years just wants to get through this legislation with a couple of provisions that will not help Main Street as quickly and swiftly as possible. Senator Dodd talked about Congressional leaders reaching an agreement on Fundamental principles but one thing that they don’t understand is that the American people don’t want any such bail out but prefers the protection of American workers and more stimulus checks for the American people to help Main Street with mortgages, soaring gas prices, rising food prices and tons of health bills that are getting more and more expensive.
People like Senator Dodd and Congressman Barney Frank say Presidential politics is being entered into negotiations. Both said that Senator John McCain doesn’t know where he stands on the issue and said he is the reason why House Republicans are not on board with the quote on quote initial plan that has been worked out the last couple of days. However the reality is that conservative Republicans in the House have not agreed along with the bailout or rescue plan. It is clear that capitol hill political posturing is in full effect and that right now I stand with House Republicans who are against this bailout or rescue plan and have come up with a plan that would not cost taxpayers but would find private investors to help in this bailout or rescue plan. We can’t use taxpayers’ dollars to bailout or rescue Wall Street when nothing has been done for Main Street.
The House Republicans are doing the right thing because the Democratic Party are not looking out Main Street completely because nothing is being done to provide us the American people with no financial security in the form of a check in the near future. We the American people need that $700 billion dollars more so than Wall Street. However it is clear that today was all about political posturing and that we the American people will perhaps been left out the limelight. While Democratic leadership on the Hill is telling the media its John McCain fault for the quote on quote deal on the table going south after around noon they had a fundamentally sound deal on principles. However I am not a fool. If everyone on Capitol Hill was on board with the fundamental principles of the quote on quote potential bailout or rescue plan deal than no matter what McCain did today would have changed that in less than five hours before McCain’s meeting at the White House with the President and other Congressional leaders.
It is clear that there was never a deal to begin with because House Republicans have always been against the deal and Fiscal Conservative Republicans are never willing to spend taxpayers’ dollars especially not for Wall Street. It is clear that the blame of this economic crisis is on our government officials who have allowed Wall Street to become corrupt while accepting checks and monetary campaign contributions from these corrupt Wall Street businesses whose greed was too much that they made bad decisions out of more greed. Everything involved in the bailout or rescue plan is political and while I listen to Democrats talking about they are on the side of the people and that’s why they are implementing things that will help the American people and not the executives of these companies. However it is a joke? When have Democrats been on the side of the people and it is about time that Democrats and Republicans are starting to listen to the people as we approach yet to another election.
Democrats and Republicans are to blame for this economic crisis and we the American people cannot trust those politicians on the Hill. So we have to make sure that Senator Chris Dodd and Congressman Barney Frank gets hundreds of thousands of phone calls in their congressional offices because they don’t get it. If they pass this bailout or rescue plan and it has no provisions that isn’t talking about another stimulus check for the American people than it will definitely be a revolt against them running for public office again. We don’t need to bailout Wall Street. We need to look out for Main Street and the American people because we are in need of help. We are suffering and struggling just like Wall Street but I guess our cries aren’t loud enough for Senator Dodd and Congressman Frank to hear.
This is truly a joke that we the taxpayers’ get greedy and we suffer and are stuck with the bills we have incurred but Wall Street gets greedy and become bankrupt or close to it and they get bailed out by our American government. Freddie Mac, Fannie Mae, Lehman Brothers, AIG and Bear Stearns are all being rescued by taxpayers’ dollars that the our American Government is planning to help these companies on Wall Street if they have not already bailed out these companies already. It is clear that the American people are not being heard loud enough and I am glad that the cameras are on Capitol Hill to see how these negotiations go. The reality is that I don’t trust our leaders on Capitol Hill and all hands need to be on deck. Senator Ted Kennedy needs to come to DC and Senators Joe Biden & Barack Obama need to be in Washington D.C. talking to their colleagues on both sides on the aisle in order to muster Republican House support for such a bailout or rescue plan.
Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid needs to stop his political posturing. First he asks for John McCain’s help and stance on bailout or rescue plan than he says that McCain is interfering with this bailout or rescue plan. Senator Reid needs to stop faking. Senator Reid and Senator McCain have never got along and have always literally disliked each other with a passion close enough to be hatred. Now it seems that Senator Reid is now saying McCain is interfering with the bailout or rescue plan negotiations but you asked for McCain’s help Senator Reid. Give me a break. The American people are not stupid and I hope Senator Reid knows that the American people already know that Senator Reid and Senator McCain don’t get along. It is clear that this big bailout has political spin all over it and we the American people are caught in the middle of it as Capitol Hill political posturing continues to occur.
We can’t allow Capitol Hill political posturing to get in the way of the fact that we the American taxpayers’ shouldn’t be bailing out Wall Street when our American government has not bailed us out whatsoever. They sent us two rounds of stimulus checks and passed legislation to deal with foreclosures that won’t kick in until next year. So tell me again why now Democrats want us to think they are looking out for our interest when they have been in control of Congress for a year and half and have not provided any sense of security for the American people whatsoever. Why didn’t the Democratic Party and Barack Obama come up with any of these solutions they are trying to put into this bailout or rescue plan before? The reality is that the homeowners and the people in the real economy are not at the negotiations tables of the House and the Senate otherwise, our U.S. Senators and House of Representative members would not be thinking about bailing out Wall Street with our tax dollars.
This Capitol Hill political posturing is at the expense of the American people and no one has fully explained to us why we need a bail out. No one has fully explained to us what are the grave dangers of not bailing out Wall Street and what could happen if such a bail out doesn’t take place. Someone needs to explain to the American people how did we get into this situation and how will the $700 billion dollars be spent. Using scare tactics such as we are in an economic crisis that could get worse without a bailout or rescue plan, it is not going to work. Neither Presidential candidate has given us straight talk nor has any politician on Capitol Hill given the American people real straight talk about how the $700 billion dollar bailout or rescue plan will be used and why it is necessary. President Bush didn’t do it in his prime time 10-15 speech to the American people last night and neither McCain or Obama have told us anything besides what they want added to the $700 billion bailout or rescue plan in order for it to look out for the taxpayers’ on Main Street. However neither of the Presidential candidates said they are against the bailout because that is what will help the taxpayers more so than any other provisions you add to the bailout or rescue plan package.
Today has truly been nothing but political theatrical theatre and the national media has played right into. The bailout is simply a physiological ploy to make sure that the foreign investors stay invested in the American economy and that the world knows that the American government is well invested in the American economy and will do anything to keep it invested. Thus the reality is that our politicians on Capitol Hill are political posturing like never before. They don’t pass legislation until the national media starts talking about and to be honest, they bicker and argue as well as blame each other when things are going bad but want to take credit when things are going good. It is clear that Democrats and Republicans are both to blame for this quote on quote economic crisis but if you let them tell it, it is the other parties fault for the crisis and it is the other parties fault for the bailout or rescue plan not being done. This is truly Capitol Hill political posturing at its best. Stop political posturing in Capitol Hill and start doing the job you were elected to do.
STOP POLITICAL POSTURING!
