The real reason why Gen. Powell endorsed Obama over McCain was because of McCain's age and he is not comfortable with Gov. Sarah Palin. But some of Gen. Powell's statements bothered me on Meet the Press on NBC this morning. For instance, he said the Republican Party has gone too far over to the right. With nonsense like the Log Cabin Republicans I don't think the party has gone anywhere but down in terms of quality leadership and values. He also said he did not want to see two more conservatives on the U.S. Supreme Court. That is exactly what we need as gays and lesbians continue (with their Democratic allies) to overturn laws that state marriage is between men and women. What planet is Gen. Powell on? Maybe he is ready to become a Democrat to join Obama in his Obama-nation.
For example, do Gen. Powell understand that under an Obama Administration we will see inflation like we say under the days of former President Jimmy Carter? In Obama's book "Dreams from my Father", Obama confesses that he harbors the same negative racial stereotypes as Rev. Jeremiah Wright, his mentor for 20 years. On pages 198 to 204, Obama says that Black Nationalism, a steady attack on the White race would be justified if it could deliver. On page 100, Obama says he went out of his way to choose Marxist professors as his friends. Obama wrote: "To avoid being mistaken for a sellout, I chose my friends carefully, the more politically active black students, the foreign students, the Chicanos, the Marxist professors and punk rock performance poets." It is a known fact that Obama will not deliver on the promises he continues to make on the campaign trail. Over 100,000 people showed up in St. Louis yesterday to hear more of his failed polices.
In order to understand Sen. Obama you have to do some research on Saul Alinsky. I find it interesting that the media has not brought his name up one bit. Even though Alinsky has been dead since 1972 his ideas are still present. In Alinsky's Rules for Radicals (published in 1971) he defines tactics as conscious deliberate acts by which human beings live with each other and deal with the world around them. In the world of give and take, tactics is the art of how to take and how to give. Here our concern is with the tactic of taking; how the Have-Nots can take power away from the Haves.
Always remember the first rule of power tactics: Power is not only what you have but what the enemy thinks you have.
Second: Never go outside the experience of your people. When an action is outside the experience of the people, the result is confusion, fear, and retreat.
Wherever possible go outside of the experience of the enemy. Here you want to cause confusion, fear, and retreat.
The fourth rule is: Make the enemy live up to their own book of rules. You can kill them with this, for they can no more obey their own rules than the Christian church can live up to Christianity.
The fourth rule carries within it the fifth rule: Ridicule is man's most potent weapon. It is almost impossible to counterattack ridicule. Also it infuriates the opposition, who then react to your advantage.
Sixth rule: A good tactic is one that your people enjoy. If your people are not having a ball doing it, there is something very wrong with the tactic.
A tactic that drags on too long becomes a drag. Man can sustain militant interest in any issue for only a limited time, after which it becomes a ritualistic commitment.
Keep the pressure on, with different tactics and actions, and utilize all events of the period for your purpose.
The threat is usually more terrifying than the thing itself.
The major premise for tactics is the development of operations that will maintain a constant pressure upon the opposition.
If you push a negative hard and deep enough it will break through into its counterside; this is based on the principle that every positive has its negative.
The price of a successful attack is a constructive alternative. You cannot risk being trapped by the enemy in his suddenly agreeing with your demand and saying "You're right - we don't know what to do about this issue. Now you tell us."
Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it.
This is exactly what Sen. Obama has successfully done through his Shadow Democratic Network.
This shadow network that is supporting Sen. Obama for President are a nationwide network of non-profit activist groups, whose agendas are ideologically to the left, which are engaged in campaigning for the Democrats. They consists of more than five-dozen unions, activist groups, and liberal think tanks. Their activities include fundraising, get-out-the-vote drives, political advertising, and covert operations.
The groups that are supporting Sen. Obama for President to push for an new Democratic Party based on failed policies that would make former President Jimmy Carter smile includes America Coming Together, America Votes, Air America Radio, American Constitution Society, Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN) American Federation of Labor - Congress of Industrial Organizations; American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees; American Federation of Teachers; Anshell Media; Association of Trial Lawyers of America; Band of Progressives; Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence; Campaign for a Progressive Future; Campaign for America's Future; Center for American Progress; Clean Water Action; Communication Workers of America; The Constitution Project; DASH PAC; Defenders of Wildlife Action Fund; Democracy for America; Democratic Governors Associations; Democratic Legislative Campaign Committee; Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee; Dog Eat Dog Films; EMILY's List; Environment 2004; Gore/Lieberman Recount Committee; Hotel Employees & Restaurant Employees International Union; the Human Rights Campaign; INdTV; International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers; Joint Victory Campaign 2004; Laborers International Union of North American; League of Conservation Voters; New Democrat Network; The Media Fund; Media Matters for America; Million Mom March; Moving America Forward; MoveOn.org; Music for America; National Association for the Advancement of Colored People; NARAL Pro-Choice America; National Education Association; National Grassroots Alliance; National Jewish Democratic Council; National Treasury Employees Union; New American Optimists; New Democrat Network; Partnership for America's Families; People for the American Way; Phoenix Group; Planned Parenthood; Pro-Choice Vote; Service Employees International Union; Sheet Metal Workers International Association; Sierra Club; The Thunder Road Group; United Food & Commercial Workers Union; United Progressive Alliance; USAction; Vagina Votes; Voices for Working Families; Vote for Change; Young Voter Alliance; and 21st Century Democrats.
Remember Obama just raised a whopping $150 million during the month of September. And he is not using public financing which means we do not know where this money is coming from.
Rules for Radicals opens with a quote about Lucifer, written by Saul Alinsky: "Lest we forget at least an over-the-shoulder acknowledgment to the very first radical: from all our legends, mythology, and history (and who is to know where mythology leaves off and history begins -- or which is which), the first radical known to man who rebelled against the establishment and did it so effectively that he at least won his own kingdom -- Lucifer."
Obama's mother was an atheist, his father was an atheist turned Muslim. Before Gen. Powell's statement on Meet the Press this morning declaring Obama as a Christian we need to examine what took him so long to be baptized at 30 years old. Prior to that he did not attend church at all.
Alinsky advises the organizer to target the middle class, rather than the poor: "Organization for action will now and in the decade ahead center upon America's white middle class. That is where the power is."
Alinsky is interested in the middle class solely for its usefulness: "Our rebels have contemptuously rejected the values and the way of life of the middle class. They have stigmatized it as materialistic, decadent, bourgeois, degenerate, imperialistic, war-mongering, brutalized and corrupt. They are right; but we must begin from where we are if we are to build power for change, and the power and the people are in the middle class majority."
To accomplish this, Alinsky writes that the organizer must "begin to dissect and examine that way of life [the middle class lifestyle] ... He will know that 'square' is no longer to be dismissed as such -- instead his own approach must be 'square' enough to get the action started."
Saul Alinsky urged the active and deliberate "conscious-raising" of people through the technique of "popular education." Popular education is a method by which an organizer leads people to a class-based interpretation of their grievances, and to accept the organizer's systemic solutions to address those grievances. "Through the People's Organization these groups [of citizens] discover that what they considered primarily their individual problem is also the problem of others, and furthermore the only hope for solving an issue of titanic proportions is by pooling all their efforts and strengths. That appreciation and conclusion is an educational process."
Obama joined the Trinity United Church of Christ to enhance Alinksy's platform by merging it with Black Liberation Theology under Rev. Jeremiah Wright. This was a platform fused with socialist ideologies that coluld be taken to the streets. You ever heard any of Obama's speeches and he mentions about the middle class? He is not talking from a free market perspective. He is talking from a Alinsky perspective that I just revealed.
Now we have a clearer picture on who Obama really is and why it was a HUGE mistake for Gen. Powell to endorse him this morning.
Now during his National NAACP speech earlier this year, Sen. Obama discussed economic justice. "I've been working my entire adult life to help build an America where economic justice is being served," he said at the group's 99th annual convention in Cincinnati.
What most people do not understand about economic justice (since the Presidential race is all about the economy) it is simply a term that means punishing the successful and redistributing their wealth by government fiat. It's a euphemism for socialism. In his latest memoir he shares that he'd like to "recast" the welfare net that FDR and LBJ cast while rolling back what he derisively calls the "winner-take-all" market economy that Ronald Reagan reignited (with record gains in living standards for all). Obama also talks about "restoring fairness to the economy," code for soaking the "rich" — a segment of society he fails to understand that includes mom-and-pop businesses filing individual tax returns.
Among his proposed "investments":
• "Universal," "guaranteed" health care.
• "Free" college tuition.
• "Universal national service" (a la Havana).
• "Universal 401(k)s" (in which the government would match contributions made by "low- and moderate-income families").
• "Free" job training (even for criminals).
• "Wage insurance" (to supplement dislocated union workers' old income levels).
• "Free" child care and "universal" preschool.
• More subsidized public housing.
• A fatter earned income tax credit for "working poor."
• And even a Global Poverty Act that amounts to a Marshall Plan for the Third World, first and foremost Africa.
Obama doesn't stop with socialized health care. He wants to socialize your entire human resources department — from payrolls to pensions. His social-microengineering even extends to mandating all employers provide seven paid sick days per year to salary and hourly workers alike.
This is not good for anyone who is running on an "economic" platform. We should closer examine if Obama's platform is good for America. These points sound like expanding social welfare into the middle class.
Gen. Powell's endorsement of Obama was a terrible one and history will show how the Obama-nation was never suited up for battle in terms of turning America around.
