Whoever said that politicians don't know how to have fun! Well whoever said it don't know anything about a young man by the name of Harold Ford, Jr. Across the state of Tennessee, supporters of Harold Ford, Jr. gathered and tailgated at several collegiate games across the state. From Knoxville to Memphis, Jr. supporters showed up and showed out in numbers. With bump stickers to put on cars, with literature and yard signs to pass out as well as stickers. However the best part of tailgating is being able to meet new people or catching up with old friends and talk trash to others about the upcoming game as well as listen to music and live shows sometimes in the parking lots. No I'm just playing, the best part of tailgating is the Bar-B-Que and the free food you can get as well as other free stuff that corporations and companies are giving away.
Well at the 8th Annual John A. Merritt Classic in Nashville, Tennessee where the Tennessee State Tigers play the Alabama A&M Bulldogs, it sure was a live atmosphere out and about in the parking lots. As fans, spectators and other tailgaters gathered around the Jr. tent to not only get free food but to get literature, stickers and to volunteer for the campaign. Hundreds of thousands of people stop by the Harold Ford, Jr. Tailgate Party and said that surely hopes he wins. How can I help out and do you have any t-shirts, yard signs, etc. Even people from the state of Alabama said that Harold Ford Jr. is an alright guy and they sure hopes he wins cause D.C. does need new leadership. Fans young and old loved the atmosphere of this year's tailgate party because they got the opportunity to see just how much fun a politician and his campaign team can surely have. TSU students and fans walked in the stadium supporting not only their TSU tigers but Harold Ford Jr. as well.
Then the battle of the bands took place right in front of the Jr. tent and as spectators gathered around to see the bands, they also left with knowledge as many picked up stickers and literature about Harold Ford, Jr. It's no way to deny that surely this Jr.'s tailgate party at TSU was a remarkable success. All I know is I surely hope TSU wins the John Merritt Classic like the Tennessee Vols won against California but no matter what, the party was still going on outside for Team Ford as I was leaving. Now if you really want to tailgate than I hope you tailgate with Team Ford and get abroad the Harold Ford, Jr. United States Senate campaign for the state Tennessee cause they put the fun in politics and the fun in having a good time.
