It seems this Independent Senator from Connecticut is often confused about his mission, but his role as the first leading US politician to call out publicly for Americans to bomb Iran over its alleged actions in Iraq is the work of a man whose jaded politics and desires leave little to talk about.
He is a danger to our country. If his rantings were to come to fruition and he edges his nation into yet another conflict, he will not be the one to do this dirty work, it will be your sons and mine.
Lieberman says if Iran won't play by the rules, "we've got to use our force. And to me that would include taking military action to stop them from doing what they're doing."
"This could be achieved mostly with air attacks." Lieberman said.
Some say his views reflect the growing anger and frustration in the administration and military, but everyone knows that the problems surrounding the war in Iraq have continued to spiral out of control for years.
But an unflinching desire on behalf of President Bush to "push on" in a war in Iraq that was poorly executed and has now brought that nation to civil war, only drives others to react, eventually. The biggest problem is that Iran denies what it is being accused of; training Iraqi militants and selling them arms.
"By some estimates, (Iranian-trained Iraqis) have killed as many as 200 American soldiers," Lieberman said.
It seems like once again the false intelligence and rumor mill are churning out little senators that are just full of information.
In the end, it will not benefit anyone if the U.S. aggressively strikes out at Iran. As it is, American soldiers are being corralled behind barbed wire fences when they return from war because the command at Fort Carson, Colorado for example, has concluded that they can not be trusted after combat duty.....
