White House: State of the Union to Feature "Bold Proposals"

The White House says President Bush will make some "bold proposals" tomorrow that Congress could enact and still "make itself look good."

White House press secretary Tony Snow says the proposals would also "more importantly do the people's business."Snow addressed reporters one day before the president gives his State of the Union address.

Snow says there will probably be some revisions made today, but said the speech is just being polished.Snow says the speech will not just focus on the situation in Iraq, and says that the president has some "good offers" for the newly installed Democratic Congress.

The president's speech will come nearly two weeks after he told the nation he is sending more than 21-thousand additional U-S troops there in a new effort to end violence.
